TEACAKE - ENS & APOM MADE THE BBC

Eggs No Soliders and A Pint of Mixed have been getting a lot publicity over the past few months. This feature on the main BBC England website is the icing on the cake.

Knowing Tom, he would be over the moon to know so many people have seen the true beauty of Britain in his work.

Thank you to everyone for their support and kind words. The opening night last Thursday was a roaring success.

Both exhibitions now continue until late July at Common and Port Street Beer House. Make sure you go and see what all the fuss is about!

Hits from the blogs.

Thank you to The Serif for a little post on there blog and also to Death by Kerning for the following evaluation of our efforts.

"UK based design studio Teacake likes to have some fun when they work, and it shows. Their portfolio is simultaneously whimsical and sophisticated. From top to bottom: A poster that serves as an homage to Akzidenz-Grotesk, screen printed with 94 categories of porn surrounding the typeface (yes, I said porn); An exploration of "ugly type," the result of a collaboration with Dutch typographer Ewald Spieker; and one in a series of posters promoting local produce and responsible consumerism. Seems like they've covered it all, from anime porn to organic tomatoes."

Thank you to last weeks bloggers: fourfootcar.blogspot.com and threeareblog.com

Great poster, great post.

We hope that all who received our Christmas poster enjoyed the knitted nativity seen and we would especially like to thank itsnicethat.com for featuring us on their blog. We have already found this site to be a great help from last summers post, in the promotion of our work.
