They don't sell teacakes in Amsterdam.

Preparations are well under way for our presentation to the masses on D&AD.
We hope to see you all there, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

"Banal, boring or just laughably bad"

The Turner Prize has finally dragged itself North and is currently being housed at the Tate in Liverpool. While those in London question whether or not the people of the next European Capital of Culture will gratefully receive this collection of work the rest of us politely scuttle round questioning whether or not we need this offering from London at all.
Mark Wallinger's work should win despite resembling a somewhat ramshackle Socialist Workers Party rally on Market Street.

D&AD fighting the good fight?

The Urbis once again hosts the annual D&AD awards and this year much of the work featured explores issue driven design. Higlights included Plus Walkers efforts for Amnesty Inetrnational and a selection of oversized stationary products that featured in the environmental design catergory.
The only real area of disatisfaction is a lack of publication design within the overall collection of winners.
