A Star In The Making
He looks to be the biggest dance star to come out of Manchester since Bez and his maracas. His name is George Sampson you can see him doing "his thing" outside HMV on market street.
As seen on BRITAINS GOT TALENT "and its a yes from us"

FAC 491
A impressively eclectic collection of artifacts from the Hacienda's hey day. This exhibition is a great retrospective of a massive part of Mancunian History. The design work is pretty impressive too!
An eight month exhibition period is a little excessive but this is more a reflection on the rather slim calendar of events at the Urbis. Should a venue as fantastic as this not be drawing a more diverse range of attractions?
Three Stars
Rest in Peace Tony Wilson.

A Swiss Pioneer
Josef Muller-Brockmann, Pioneer of Swiss Graphic Design by Lars Muller
Posters. posters and more posters. As a master of graphic communication Muller-Brockmanns work is immaculate in all aspects. Dynamic use of shape and image features along side perfect half-tone photography.
This has been a massive inspiration. Thanks Josef.
Five Stars.

Learn them before you break them.
The Ten Commandments Of Typography / And "Type Heresy: Breaking The Ten Commandments Of Typography by Paul felton
Teacake bought this book whislt in Amsterdam and found it to be a fantastic read. Mascarading as a biblical document the content is both humourous and incisive perfectly demonstrting that you need to learn the rules before you destroy them.
Teacake gives it four stars!

Factories of the North
We went in search of architectural inspiration for our factory identity.
What we found was better than steak pudding, chips and peas twice!

Teacake Inherits...
Teacake was lucky enough to inherit a fantastic assortment of slides from the star of the Teacake Story, Elsie Baron. We are currently working our way through the boxes searching for the best, these two stood out straight away.
More will be added.
Thanks Nana Baron

Dank je wel Ewald!

Tabloid experiences aside we took in the comprehensive collection of design work at the MOMA and explored Central Park in its entireity.
Good Job!
